QUESTION: How does science relate to the bible?
ANSWER:
The bible was not written for the purpose of being a scientific textbook. However, the bible refers to many subjects in an extraordinary way. Many statements recorded in this ancient book may have initially appeared to be inaccurate but now are acknowledged as scientifically sound. The fact is, the bible has never been proven to be in error on any point which scientific knowledge is properly established.
QUESTION: Doesn’t the current state of scientific evidence and modern technology refute the biblical view of creation and support the theory of evolution?
ANSWER:
Not at all. Actually the most recent scientific discoveries are pointing more toward the increasing awareness of intelligent design. There is a growing excitement concerning the great body of accumulating evidence which supports creation, a young Earth and the world wide flood. Regardless of your age or education, you can quickly learn about the facts regarding origins and help others because many people have a great interest in understanding these basic truths.
QUESTION: What type of evidence is available to support the biblical account of creation?
ANSWER:
The bible states in Rom 1:20 that all of the physical universe provides evidence for the reality of the Creator. We can therefore expect all the scientific disciplines to point toward intelligent design — and they do. The evidence showing the hand of the Creator is becoming more compelling. All scientists basically use the same available physical evidence but their conclusions will inevitably be based on whether the interpretation of the observations is based on and starts from a God centered biblical worldview or a man centered humanistic worldview.
With each advance in technology, the Life Sciences, Physical Sciences and Earth sciences are encountering increased difficulties supporting evolutionary theory. On the other hand, current developments in all these areas are pointing to the logical conclusion that the true facts of science support the biblical account of creation of the universe and origin of all life forms.
